Question: What kind of plug do you need for camp site?

When you travel and camp in an RV, you will eventually need to plug your RV into a power source. So, what plugs do campsites actually use? Campsite pedestals typically have two or three different types of plug configurations. You will almost always see a 120 volt 30 amp, and a regular household type 120 volt 20 amp.

Do campsites have plug sockets?

Most commercial and Club campsites will offer electric hook-ups on some or all of their pitches. However, campsites tend to have restricted supplies (they are generally rated at 16A or 10A, sometimes as low as 5A on campsites abroad), so you need to be careful what you use to avoid tripping out the system.
